Awards double for Spurs
Harry Redknapp and Jermain Defoe have been rewarded for their roles in Tottenham's outstanding start to the season with the Barclays manager and player of the month awards for August.
Spurs won all four of their Premier League matches in August, with Defoe scoring a hat-trick at Hull and another goal against West Ham.
It is the first time the striker has won the monthly award, with Redknapp taking the manager's prize for the sixth time in his career.
