AVB Sacked: Spurs Looking Towards Laudrup or Pochettino

16 December 2013 11:34

After yesterday’s 5-0 drubbing to Liverpool, Andre Villas-Boas has left Tottenham by ‘mutual consent’. His post match interview yesterday indicated that AVB was at his wits end with the North London club as he struggled to explain another heavy defeat for Spurs.

Early signs coming out of White Hart Lane have indicated that chairman Daniel Levy will attempt to recruit Swansea City boss Michael Laudrup or Southampton manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Spurs’ Champions League dreams were dealt a massive blow yesterday as Liverpool ran riot against them at White Hart Lane. AVB looked demoralized on the sidelines after his sides’ heaviest home defeat in sixteen years.

Tottenham will be looking for stability at the club as soon as possible and Laudrup seems to be the man who can provide this. There’s no doubting the speculation about the next manager will be widespread but Levy seems to have two key targets and each manager would struggle not to take up this opportunity to advance their managerial career.
