Atletico urge Maxi Rodriguez to consider Spurs u-turn
Atletico Madrid are desperate to talk Maxi Rodriguez into joining Tottenham Hotspur.
The Argentina midfielder had look set to join the north London club before insisting last week that he would sit out the final year of his contract at Atletico.
However, the Spanish club are have not given up hope of offloading the 28-year-old for about £10m as they look to raise funds to sign exciting Argentine Eduardo Salvio, 19, from Lanus.
Rodriguez, who scored 10 goals in 41 games for Atletico last season, is likely to secure a more lucrative contract if he leaves on a free next summer.
