Arshavin was not quite 10 when Gascoigne scored the famous free-kick in Tottenham's FA Cup semi-final win over Arsenal at Wembley in 1991 and is set to start for Wenger's team in today's fifth-round tie against Burnley.
Arshavin said: 'I liked Paul Gascoigne a lot. He was an extraordinary person both on and off the pitch.' When reminded of Gascoigne's colourful past and affiliation to Spurs, Arshavin added: 'He always remained his own self which is of utmost importance.'
