Plymouth manager Peter reid has secured the services of Tottenham goalkeeper David Button on a season-long loan.[LNB] Button, 21, will add competition for the club's number one jersey, with French veteran Romain Larrieu also in the ranks at Home Park.[LNB]Reid had been looking to land Birmingham stopper Colin Doyle but with the deal appearing to be a non-starter, he swooped to sign Button.[LNB]He told the club's official website: "I have spoken to Harry (Redknapp) about him and Tony Parks, the goalkeeping coach, and he comes highly recommended.[LNB]"He has been away on tour with Tottenham and played games so I'm delighted to have him. He is competition for Romain in the nets."[LNB]On the failed attempt to sign Doyle, Reid added: "I would have liked to bring in Doyle as well but circumstances meant I couldn't - I wanted to have three. He is a really good goalkeeper but that's the way it goes."
