Another Target Gone!

After seeing the news that Luka is being linked with Real Madrid, you would have thought that getting another CM dynamo was imperative, but as usual the answer is no according to Levy. Marvin Martin has now taken up Eden Hazards role (at Lille) and will continue to ply his trade in France (or at least for the time being). It highlights again why the timing of Redknapp's sacking was ridiculous. Many teams have already signed some great players and as usual we are left draggin our heels?

I see reports that Vertonghen should be signing today, but I wouldn't count on that as the solid sources have not caught wind of this (Sky, BBC etc).

Levy must have realised by now after leaving it too late in January, last summer and the January before, that he is leaving it all too late to build his squad, whether with instant impact players or some for the future.

Most of the top clubs have already contacted the players and their clubs as soon as the season has ended (in some cases before the end), so why does Levy not do this? He can still thrash a deal out as he will have more time to do it? This is why I am now questioning Levy and his ethics? As a club at the moment we have no direction, no manager, confused/ concerned players, deadwood rotting away and costing the club money and most importantly fans that should be kept up to date and made to feel reassured.

I am just about to make another article live shortly on the manager's position (just adding the final touches), so keep an eye out for this one too.
