Top-class striker - check. Soldado.
Top-class wing forward - check. Lamela.
Very good wingers with a lot of potential - check. Chadli, Townsend (not a new signing but effectively one).
A playmaker/eventual Modric replacement - check. Eriksen.
Upgrade on Parker, Huddlestone and Livermore - check. Capoue and Paulinho.
Upgrade on Gallas and more defensive versatility - check. Chiriches.
A top-class left back - nope. Let's see how Rose gets on.
A back up striker - nope. Let's hope Soldado stays fit and Adebayor/Defoe get on it.
A back up sweeper keeper - nope. Friedel will do but not in the long run.
Sold a player who wanted to leave for about £20m more than his true value - check.
Offloaded to make space and improve squad - check. Parker, Huddlestone, Livermore, Dempsey etc. replaced by above.
Sell Gomes, Adebayor, BAE - nope. But BAE is on loan and Adebayor could come good again if AVB gets in his ear.
Keep finances in check - check. Just £3.5m net spend (via Forbes Analysis)
Get the players we wanted - in general. Benteke, Villa missed out on but Soldado, Lamela are just as good if not better. Willian wasn't initially in our plans and I think most would prefer the younger, cheaper Eriksen.
Keep AVB - check. He is vital.
Improve the squad - check. Our back up midfielders have gone from Livermore and Huddlestone to Capoue and Holtby.
Get Sandro and Kaboul back to fitness - in progress.
Keep everyone we wanted except Bale - check.
Get our business done early - check. Soldado, Paulinho, Chadli and Capoue all featured in our first match. Lamela, Eriksen and Chiriches were vital additions late on but had to wait for available funds.
Maintain squad morale - check. Sandro and Walker seem to be real characters in the dressing room and the nationality clusters of Belgium, Brazil and France are vital in welcoming players to the club.
Keep English old guard - check. Deadwood had to go but Daws, Lennon, Rose, Townsend, Walker, Defoe et al all have places at the club.
It has truly been an excellent transfer window for Tottenham Hotspur.
