Adriano snubs Tottenham and Newcastle and chooses his children in Brazil instead

Brazilian striker Adriano has claimed his future is in Brazil despite being linked with a move to the Premier League.[LNB]Going home: Adriano has left Roma to be with his children back in Brazil[LNB]The 29-year-old joined Roma in the summer but after just five appearances for the club, his three-year deal was terminated this week.[LNB]The former Inter Milan star has been linked with a move to Newcastle and Tottenham Hotspur.[LNB]However, Adriano said in an interview to Rome sports newspaper Corriere dello Sport: 'The choice to return to Brazil is the right one. I have two children, I am with the mother of my children and I miss them a lot. Each time I call them I feel like crying.[LNB]'I can no longer be far away from them and it's not easy to bring them here. I was unlucky at Roma but perhaps it was a sign from God to tell me that it would be better for me to return to Brazil.'[LNB]Adriano has battled with personal problems in recent seasons and admitted injuries prevented him from playing to the best of his ability at Roma.[LNB]He said: 'I hope the fans are not angry with me and I hope they understand who I am.I decided with the club that to end the contract was the best solution for everyone.[LNB]'I have not been able to succeed at Roma, mainly due to injuries. Never in my career had I suffered so many injuries.[LNB]'Each time I was finding my form I was forced to stop because of a physical problem. I lose so much money but I want to be happy with my family.[LNB]'Today I can leave with my head held high. I haven't treated anyone badly and I have always respected everyone.
