Warning issued for severe weather

A severe weather warning has been issued for the South West, with heavy rain and gales predicted later.Coastal flooding and gusts of up to 70mph (113km/h) are forecast for parts of Devon and Cornwall in the afternoon and evening. The Environment Agency is warning motorists to only make journeys in the evening if necessary. It is also urging drivers to avoid more than 100 routes in Devon which pass through fords.
