Motteram to leave Gulls

Torquay United boss Lubos Kubik has decided not to offer Carl Motteram a new contract when his current deal expires later this month. The 22-year-old midfielder joined the Gulls last summer and made 11 appearances for the League Two strugglers, although ten were from the substitute's bench. Motteram began his career at Birmingham City, turning professional in 2003. However, he failed to make a first-team appearance for the Blues and was loaned out to Conference side Tamworth last term, before moving to Plainmoor six months ago.
