Torquay United midfielder Christian Hargreaves is enjoying life back in the Football League following a couple of seasons in the Conference.
He played for Oxford United when they were relegated from League Two and then made the move to the Gulls as they themselves suffered the drop during the 2006-07 season.
Play-off final heartbreak followed but the following season his side made amends and he scored as they beat Cambridge United 2-0 at Wembley in May.
The 37-year-old veteran is now pleased to be back in the League but doubted whether he would make the return.
Speaking to reporters, he said: "I got one of the goals, but the most memorable part of the day for me was walking up the Wembley steps to get our winners' medals.
"I'd seen other players do it so many times on TV, but to do it myself was just amazing.
"I'd turned 37 just a few days earlier and it did cross my mind to hang up my boots after that high, but the lure of playing League football again was too great."
