Hard work pays off for Sills

Torquay United striker Tim Sills is a happy man after finding the net in the last three games for the Gulls.

The 30-year-old had previously only scored once this season, but has recently netted against Aldershot Town, Southampton and Notts County.

He told the Herald Express: "I feel as if I'm up and running. It's a bit of a monkey off my back, but only for the time being.

"I believe that I can score goals at this level and, personally, I need to kick on now and do it regularly.

"I think maybe I was trying to do too much in other parts of the pitch. We've talked it over several times, working out ways to get myself into positions to score more goals.

"I've also been doing extra work in the gym, on things like upper body strength, which I haven't done seriously before."
