Gulls return thrills Poke

Southampton goalkeeper Michael Poke is looking forward to returning to Torquay United after finally sealing his loan switch to Plainmoor.

The 23-year-old enjoyed his two previous spells with the Gulls and is set to rejoin the League Two new-boys on Wednesday after his move was delayed by the birth of his daughter Molly.

"I can't wait to see everyone again and start work," he said. "I've been playing for Southampton reserves, but it's not the same with just a few people watching.

"You want to play where's there's a decent crowd, and first-team football means something.

"The end of last season, especially winning at Wembley, was something I'll never forget.

"With the club being back in the League and some good teams to play against, it was an easy choice for me to come back. I'm looking forward to it."
