Gulls pull out of loan deal

Torquay United have pulled out of a loan deal to land Joe Jacobson from Cardiff City.

The 19-year-old made his Bluebirds debut as a substitute in last season's home defeat to Norwich City and started this term's home loss to Barnet in the Carling Cup.

But according to the Championship leaders, the Gulls have pulled out of the loan switch for the Wales Under-21 international.

A statement on their official website read: "We can officially confirm that Joe Jacobson's proposed move to Torquay United on loan has collapsed due to the Torquay chairman not sanctioning the deal."
