Gulls land loanee Dickson

Torquay United's busy week has continued with the acquisition of Plymouth Argyle winger Ryan Dickson on loan until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old becomes the Gulls' fifth new arrival in two days, following the signings of Nathan Simpson, Darren Baxter, Leon Hapgood and John Wheeldon.

Pilgrims boss Ian Holloway said of Dickson, who has made six appearances for the Championship side: "I believe he's had some injury problems over the last couple of years, and I can see him coming through it.

"I gave him a long contract because I believe in him.

"He's delighted me with what he's done over the last couple of weeks and I need to get him fully-fit for the start of next season so I can bring him in as a proper squad member."
