Torquay United have announced they have retained nine players as they prepare for life in the Conference next season.

Kevin Hill, Lee Mansell, Lee Thorpe and Steve Woods were already under contract for next term, while Matthew Hockley, Lee Andrews, Chris McPhee, Martin Horsell and Chris Robertson have been offered new deals.

Mark Robinson could also earn himself a Plainmoor stay after he was invited back for pre-season training.

The Gulls' 80-year stay in the Football League ended when they finished the 2006-07 campaign 13 points adrift of safety.
