Rochdale will have to wait a little longer to confirm their long-awaited promotion from League Two after being thrashed 5-0 at lowly Torquay United. The Gulls equalled their biggest win of the season by putting five unanswered goals past Dale. Elliot Benyon netted a brace to complement goals from Scott Redndell, Nicky Wroe and Mustapha Carayol. Cheltenham beat ten-man Bury in a seven-goal thriller at Whaddon Road. The visitors had goalkeeper Wayne Brown sent off after 35 minutes and were 3-0 down after 52 minutes thanks to goals from Justin Richards, Matt Thornhill and Josh Low. But the away side netted two goals through Ryan Lowe and it looked like they might make a stunning comeback before Low and Barry Hayles ensured a 5-2 win for the home side. Emile Sinclair and Lee Bell helped Macclesfield to a 2-1 win over Barnet, a late Edward Upson proved in vain for the hosts. Shaun Harrad netted his 18th goal of the season to rescue a point for Burton Albion, after Luke Oliver looked to have won it for Bradford with a goal just before the hour mark. A Danny Green brace looked to have secured all three points for Dagenham & Redbridge against Chesterfield, but Ishmel Demontagnac pulled one back for the home side before Barry Conlon netted from the penalty spot to complete the comeback. Shrewsbury completed a comfortable 3-0 win away from home against Crewe thanks to a late brace from Tom Bradshaw and an opener from Dave Hibbert. Jamie Devitt scored the only goal of the game to secure all three points for Grimsby against Hereford, he netted his goal after just 18 minutes and the away side held on for the rest of the game. A Davide Somma brace handed Lincoln a 2-1 win over Bournemouth, Brett Pitman had levelled the scores with his 23rd goal of the season, but Somma netted again to give the home side all three points. Goals from Phil Jevons and Simon Hackney in three minutes of second-half action were enough to secure a 2-0 win for Morecambe over Rotherham United. Ben Davies netted the only goal of the game just after the break to give Notts County a 1-0 win over Northampton. Port Vale and Aldershot shared a 1-1 draw with Sean Rigg equalising for Vale after Marvin Morgan had put the visitors ahead. The match between Darlington and Accrington Stanley ended goalless.
