Torquay United have signed Kieran Charnock from Peterborough United, subject to Football League approval.
The defender moves to the League Two new-boys for an undisclosed fee, agreeing a two-year deal at Plainmoor.
He joins Scott Rendell at the club, who is on loan from London Road.
Charnock spent time on loan at Accrington Stanley last season, making just 16 appearances for the Posh.
He will link up with his new team-mates on Wednesday and could come into contention for Saturday's league opener at home to Chesterfield.
