Charnock relishes return

Torquay United defender Kieran Charnock is looking forward to coming up against Accrington Stanley on Saturday, after spending much of last season with the Crown Ground outfit.

The former Peterborough United defender linked up with the Gulls in the summer and after sitting out through suspension, he is hoping to get the nod this weekend.

Speaking to Accrington Observer, he said: "It is a game I have looked forward to.

"I obviously still know a lot of players and it will be weird marking Bobby Grant, if he plays, and I have come up against Michael Symes a number of times with different clubs.

"I have had a couple of injuries and been suspended for three games after a sending-off, but I hope I can win my place back tomorrow."
