Hargreaves unlikely to tinker

Torquay boss Chris Hargreaves could name an unchanged line-up as his side look to build on a memorable win over Portsmouth when they host fellow strugglers Northampton.

Hargreaves rang the changes for that 1-0 victory at Fratton Park with Aaron Downes, Karl Hawley and Lee Mansell, who was nursing a back injury, all left out of the side.

The trio may have to make do with a place on the bench at Plainmoor in a match which the Gulls hope will go ahead after Saturday's clash with Bury fell foul to a waterlogged pitch.

Plainmoor has not hosted a match since January 4 and Hargreaves is yet to manage his new side on home soil due to a string of postponements.

Captain Lee Collins is a doubt for Northampton.

The centre-back was forced out of Saturday's 2-0 defeat to Plymouth nursing a toe injury and is likely to miss the encounter at Plainmoor, although his absence is not expected to be long-term.

The likes of Ben Tozer, Ian Morris, Antonio German, Gregor Robertson, Roy O'Donovan and Gary Deegan will all be looking to break into Chris Wilder's starting XI as bottom-of-the-table Town look to close the six-point gap to second-bottom Torquay.

Long-term absentees Kelvin Langmead, Alex Nicholls and Lewis Hornby remain sidelined.
