Stockley set for first start

Jayden Stockley could make his first start for Torquay when they entertain rivals Exeter.

The on-loan Bournemouth forward pulled a calf muscle in training after his debut as a substitute at the end of last month but returned to the squad on Boxing Day and is an option for Gulls boss Alan Knill.

Knill named an unchanged side for the 1-1 home draw with Bristol Rovers but will be tempted to make changes for his team's second game in four days.

The match is the second of three derbies for Torquay over the festive period, sandwiched between clashes with Bristol Rovers and Plymouth.

Exeter boss Paul Tisdale could shuffle his pack for the Devon derby as he searches for just a second win in 12 league games.

Sam Parkin, Arron Davies and Craig Woodman are among the players bidding for recalls after they were forced to settle for a place on the bench on Boxing Day.

Tisdale remains without captain Danny Coles, who has undergone knee surgery, and midfielder Matt Oakley, who is set to return from his ankle injury in February.

The 1-0 defeat at Cheltenham was the Grecians' second in a row and means they now sit eight points behind Rochdale, who occupy the final play-off place.
