Hargreaves set to keep faith

Torquay boss Chris Hargreaves could name an unchanged line-up as his side look to build on a memorable win over Portsmouth when they host Bury.

Hargreaves rang the changes for that 1-0 victory last weekend with reigning player of the year Aaron Downes one of three players to drop out along with Karl Hawley while Lee Mansell was nursing a back injury.

The trio may have to make do with a place on the bench at Plainmoor but the match itself is in real doubt after heavy rain throughout the south west.

Plainmoor has not hosted a match since January 4 and Hargreaves is yet to manage his new side on home soil due to a string of postponements.

Midfielder Danny Mayor is available again for Bury.

The Sheffield Wednesday loanee has not played since January 11 when he was sent off in the defeat to Chesterfield but, after serving a three-match suspension, he swells the Shakers' options.

Striker Daniel Nardiello could also return to the starting line-up after playing 40 minutes in the midweek draw with Oxford on his return from a hamstring injury, with boss David Flitcroft electing to start him on the bench for fear of injuring him further in the difficult conditions.

Full-back Frederic Veseli dislocated a finger against Oxford but had it popped back into place and should be fine again while Flitcroft has also spoken of his desire to see long-term knee-injury victim Phil Picken involved in some reserve games in the coming weeks.
