Gulls looking strong for Stanley test Torquay boss Martin Ling boasts a fully-fit squad when they play host to Accrington. Players should have recovered from injury or illness in time for the weekend with the exception of Ian Morris who continues to his rehabilitation from surgery on an Achilles problem. The Gulls' recovery time was boosted by the postponement of Tuesday's Johnstone's Paint Trophy game against Yeovil at Plainmoor. And the extended break was welcomed by Ling whose squad has also been hit by a sickness bug in the last couple of days. "It's not been the best week we can remember," he told the Herald Express, "and we need to put it behind us." Tom Cruise, Damon Lathrope and Danny Leadbitter all come into consideration against Stanley having been pencilled in for an outing in midweek. Jack Sampson is poised to make his Accrington debut. The 19-year-old Bolton striker joined Stanley on a one-month loan deal on Thursday and goes straight into Paul Cook's squad for the trip to Plainmoor. Cook expressed concern over the amount of goals his side are conceding following the dramatic 3-2 loss at home to Rochdale last weekend and defender Michael Liddle is back from suspension to help remedy that problem. Midfielder Charlie Barnett remains on the sidelines. Watford loanee Piero Mingoia marked his full debut with a goal against Dale and claims his team-mates are champing at the bit to bounce back from that defeat. He told Press Association Sport: "That result really didn't go down well with the team because of the manner of how we conceded some of the goals and the way we played, so everyone's just eager to get to Saturday and put things right."
