A Tim Sills brace helped reignite Torquay's promotion ambitions as they defeated Altrincham.Torquay took an 18th minute lead when Wayne Carlisle reached the by-lineand crossed for Sills to head past Altrincham keeper Stuart Coburn.Coburn hauled down Elliot Benyon in the 55th minute and was subsequently beaten from the spot by Sills.Benyon then added a 75th minute third before Altrincham netted late on through defender Matthew Doughty.Torquay: Bevan, Mansell, Woods, Robertson, Nicholson, Carlisle, Wroe, Hargreaves, DSane, Sills, Benyon (Christie 86).
