Stanley sits it out

Torquay will be without the suspended Craig Stanley for the visit of Port Vale. The midfielder, on loan from Morecambe, is serving the second game of a two-match ban after picking up 10 yellow cards. The Gulls could also be without fellow midfielder Gavin Tomlin who is struggling with a hamstring injury picked up in last Saturday's 3-0 win at Bradford. Tomlin, who scored in that victory before sustaining the problem, has not suffered a tear and will be monitored closely ahead of kick-off. Boss Paul Buckle has no other problems to contend with as he leads his side into the vital run-in, where the play-off chasing Gulls play promotion rivals in four of their remaining five games.
