Hereford gained their second league win of the week thanks to Gavin McCallum's strike in the 1-0 victory over Torquay. The Canadian forward pounced in the 22nd minute when he flicked the ball past goalkeeper Michael Poke from two yards out to follow up his midweek double against Lincoln. McCallum went close to grabbing a second two minutes later when he fired a shot against the foot of the post from 15 yards. Hereford continued to push forward in the first half with both Leon Constantine and Craig King having on-target efforts saved by Poke. Torquay defender Adam Smith also cleared a shot from Marc Pugh off the line. The visitors pushed forward after the break with Elliot Benyon having a half-chance but he shot wide, before defender Adam Smith also rifled a 35-yard drive wide. Benyon was unlucky when he headed against the post and substitute Keith Lowe cleared the rebound away.
