Gulls snap up striker Murray

Ipswich have allowed promising forward Ronan Murray to join League Two side Torquay on loan until the end of the season. The 19-year-old made his breakthrough earlier this season and was handed a number of substitute appearances under former manager Roy Keane. He scored in a Carling Cup win at Exeter in August but has not featured under Paul Jewell. Murray will stay with the Gulls for the rest of the campaign and could make his debut against Shrewsbury at the weekend. Torquay boss Paul Buckle told the club's official website: "I am thrilled to sign Ronan, A lot of clubs have been chasing the lad and I am sure he will be a great addition. "Steve McCall and Paul Jewell have been great with us and I am very grateful they have allowed Ronan to join our club. He will go straight into the squad for Saturday's game with Shrewsbury at Plainmoor."
