Gulls leave Buckle flat

Torquay manager Paul Buckle struggled to hide his frustration at his side's failure to make the most of a winning position following their 1-1 home draw with Barnet. Elliot Benyon converted Eunan O'Kane's angled shot to give the Gulls the lead, but Mark Byrne headed home Mark Marshall's corner to level the contest after 20 minutes. Buckle said: "It was a frustrating day for us. I think we started very well and had a good tempo about us and deservedly went in front with a wonderfully worked goal. "I really felt we were going to push on in there, the mood we have been in recently and our recent runs of results. "I felt we were in a great position to take the game forward and score more goals. But you've got to give credit to Barnet though and it was a good delivery for the goal, but we are really disappointed with the marking for the corner. "We are better than that, we had conceded 25 corners in the games at Oxford and Mansfield and obviously not conceded a goal from one."
