Gr-eight Gulls put minnows to the sword
Billy Kee stole the show with five goals as Torquay thrashed Southern League outfit Tiverton Town 8-0.
The 19-year-old striker, who joined the Gulls on a two-year deal this summer following his release by Leicester, hit all his goals in the first half.
He had notched his hat-trick after just 18 minutes after opening the scoring with a 25-yard strike in the seventh minute.
Chris Zebroski also scored before the break as Paul Buckle`s side went into half-time with a 6-0 advantage.
Substitutes Ashley Yeoman and Danny Stevens added further goals in the second half.
Meanwhile, Buckle confirmed after the game that midfielder Damon Lathrope had accepted a two-year contract. The 20-year-old has been training with Torquay.
