Morecambe`s on-loan defender Kieran Charnock is hoping to earn a permanent move to the Globe Arena. The Torquay centre-back struck with a rare goal to hand Sammy McIlroy's side a hard-earned 1-0 victory over Port Vale on Saturday. And he also revealed his desire to move back to his north-west roots, saying: "I've only been at Morecambe a couple of weeks but I have really enjoyed it and I do want to stay longer. I am from the north and want to move back up. "Torquay is a great club but my roots are here and I would love to move back, hopefully with Morecambe because I think the team is far better than the current league table suggests."
