Buckle: We're ready

Torquay manager Paul Buckle feels his team are fit and ready to take on Northampton in the League Two kick-off at Plainmoor on Saturday. Out of nine friendly games over the past three weeks, the Gulls have claimed seven victories, including a 1-0 win over Yeovil this weekend. Speaking to the Herald Express, Buckle said: "I'm delighted with the way pre-season has gone. We look fit, we've won games, and we look ready. "We've worked very hard and played nine games with the Exeter game behind closed doors." "We've played lots of football and we've gone a different route this season in terms of having more games. "But I think we're looking good on the back of it. We look very sharp, and I asked the players (against Yeovil) to try and get up to speed as much as they could ready for the game against Northampton."
