Buckle thrilled by Gulls victory

Torquay boss Paul Buckle admitted he was delighted after summer signing Billy Kee notched a hat-trick in the 5-1 pre-season win at Weymouth. Eunan O'Kane celebrated his birthday with Torquay's first goal in the 29th minute and Kee made it 2-0 early in the second half with a deflected header. Kee rifled a 25-yard shot into the top corner for his second and Torquay's third before Elliott Benyon tapped home the fourth. Halloran pulled one back for Weymouth, but Kee had the last word when he finished off some good work down the right by Chris Zebroski. Buckle said: "I suppose the thing apart from the fitness workout is to come away unscathed from any injuries but to get the goals, with the way we scored them and the performance of the players, is a fantastic start for us. "We created three goals for Billy (Kee), one each for Eunan (O'Kane) and Elliot (Benyon) and played loads of good football in and around them so I can only be delighted."
