Buckle staying positive

Torquay manager Paul Buckle is refusing to be too down over the Football League's decision to dock his side a point. The Gulls were punished on Wednesday for fielding on-loan Shrewsbury striker Jake Robinson when he was ineligible in the 3-1 defeat to Hereford on February 1. Hereford have been docked three points for the same offence after selecting Rob Purdie in the match which the Bulls won 3-1 at Plainmoor. "I'm smiling about it," said Buckle on Torquay's official website. "It came as a surprise, especially when I was nominated for manager of the month on Tuesday and it was all smiles. "We know now that we go into bat with 61 points and we have to try and use this as a positive. It can bring us closer together because it is an exciting time for club. "It is a negative but there have been a lot of positives this year. It is a big disappointment but we have to move on."
