Buckle slams Crewe pitch

11 October 2010 15:00
Torquay manager Paul Buckle had to change his system for the clash with Crewe because of the poor nature of the Gresty Road pitch. Buckle was angry about the state of the pitch and described it as "not fit for a League Two match". Speaking to This is South Devon he said: "We had planned to change our system, but when we saw the pitch, we had to change again. "There was no way we could play our game on it. I don't know whether it was done deliberately - I'm sure it wasn't. I am disappointed with the pitch. It was long and dry and not fit for a League Two match. "It hadn't been cut. I have never been to Crewe before, as a player or manager, when the surface has been poor."
