Buckle reveals Ellis interest

Torquay manager Paul Buckle has revealed he received an offer from an unnamed League One club for the services of defender Mark Ellis. Ellis, 21, has featured prominently in the Gulls' record breaking clean sheet run, which has seen United go 961 minutes without conceding a goal. And Buckle admitted an offer was made last week for the youngster, but insists he is not interested in selling Ellis or any of his other star names who have been attracting interest in the transfer market. He told the club's official website: "Elliot Benyon is the obvious one because he is playing up front and getting goals but we have a number of young players performing well. "Mark Ellis was immense against Bradford and we also have Eunan O'Kane, Billy Kee and Danny Stevens who are all good, young players. "My phone has been ringing but I'm not interested in selling players."
