Torquay boss Paul Buckle backed Ronan Murray to shine on the international stage after his match-winning performance against Cheltenham. The on-loan Ipswich youngster scored his first goal for the club to seal a 2-1 win which lifted the Gulls into the top four of League Two. Buckle said: "I am delighted that Ronan has got off the mark, the shame is we lose him for Friday at Northampton because he is playing for Republic of Ireland Under-21s. "It is credit to him he has been called up. He will go there full of confidence after getting the winner, he thoroughly deserved the goal and we thoroughly deserved the win. "I am thrilled with the lads and to be fourth in the league is an incredible achievement. The players have upped their game and we are not only winning games but we are playing some very good football. We could have won by more."
