Buckle lauds Gulls fightback

Torquay manager Paul Buckle described his side's second-half display as "outstanding" as the Gulls hit back to beat Bury 2-1 at Gigg Lane. Loanee Chris Holroyd opened the scoring just four minutes into his Shakers debut as the hosts dominated the first half, but Torquay hit back after the break with goals from Craig Stanley and Chris Zebroski to take maximum points. Buckle said: "It was the classic game of two halves. Bury showed first half why they're second in the league. At times they moved the ball very quickly, they shut us down. "We gifted them the start they were looking for and the crowd were up and I couldn't wait to get the chaps in at half-time and we managed to get in at 1-0. "Second half I thought we were outstanding. The plan was to get the ball into the front men a bit quicker and Bury can have no complaints after the second half. "In the end we were comfortable and what I liked was that at the end of the game we actually did some sensible things with the ball."
