Buckle hit by ban

Torquay manager Paul Buckle has been handed a one-match touchline ban and a £500 fine for being sent to the stands in the 1-1 draw with Gillingham a fortnight ago. Buckle was dismissed when he berated the officials for what he deemed pedantic refereeing following an injury to an opposition player. As a consequence, he will not be able to watch Saturday's home game against Stockport from the dugout. Buckle apologised for his behaviour immediately but was still not happy with some decisions. "It's my 200th game at Torquay United and it's not very nice to be sent to the stands, so I apologise for that" said Buckle after the game. "Why should I stand there and see my team kick the ball back to the opposition and then the referee decide there's a drop-ball in the middle of the 18-yard box? I'm not going to have that."
