Buckle frustrated over FA delay

Torquay United boss Paul Buckle has expressed his annoyance over the FA's delay in examining the Gulls' appeal over Kieran Charnock's red card.Charnock was sent off for a challenge on Dean Holden during last weekend's 1-1 draw with Shrewsbury.

Buckle told BBC Radio Devon: "It's really disappointing. The FA demand that we get the DVD away on the Sunday or Monday and we've done that.

"But we don't hear until the Friday and I can't work that one out."

The Gulls will know whether or not the FA have upheld Charnock's sending-off by Friday afternoon.

Buckle said the timescale of the decision has hampered his preparations for the upcoming home game against high-flying Rotherham on Saturday.

"It doesn't help me, it doesn't help the club or the players. We're trying to prepare and Kieran needs to know whether he's in or out but it's a guessing game.

"All we can do is train the players as hard as we can."
