Torquay manager Paul Buckle was quick to explain the absence of star striker Elliot Benyon from his squad at the weekend. Benyon, the Seagulls top scorer last season did not feature in the goalless draw against Accrington after struggling with a knee injury. Buckle stressed the importance of having a fully fit and firing Benyon. "Elliot is someone who needs to be 100 per cent fit to really get the best out of him because he is a right nuisance when he makes those runs," he said. "He didn't want to come out of the team but I can't afford to lose him for any length of time." Benyon has fired Torquay to the top of League 2 scoring three goals in the process.
