Boss hails Bevan

Torquay boss Paul Buckle lavished praise on goalkeeper Scott Bevan after the goalless draw with Accrington saw the Gulls move back to the top of League Two. Bevan had already made several good saves before he produced a breathtaking stoppage-time reflex save to keep out Andrew Procter's powerful downward header. "I thought their player had scored at the end there. What a great save from Scott Bevan," said Buckle. "But it's what I`ve come to expect of Scott this season. If you saw him in training you would see that he has come into this season more athletic than ever and he's proved it by helping us keep another clean sheet. "I am delighted that we have gone back to the top of the table. I really didn't realise that until now, when you have told me, and all credit to the lads. "They have made a brilliant start to the season and it has shown in the last two matches that people are paying them respect by packing out their midfields."
