Struggling Torino axe De Biasi

Relegation-threatened Torino have sacked coach Gianni De Biasi in the wake of the embarrassing 4-1 home defeat to Fiorentina at the weekend.

Torino have won only three of their 15 Serie A games so far this season and have secured just two points on their travels.

The loss to La Viola left Torino only three points above rock-bottom Chievo and in grave danger of being relegated.

According to reports, club president Urbano Cairo will turn to Walter Novellino to replace De Biasi.
