Manchester City striker Rolando Bianchi has denied reports suggesting he is unhappy with life in England and wants to return to Italy.
The 24-year-old was quoted as saying he did not like English food and was the only player in the squad that did no drink alcohol.
But he told City's official website: "The truth is that I want to stay here at Manchester City. I like the club, I like the fans and I like living in Manchester.
"The Premier League is the best league in the world and this is where I want to play my football.
"I don't know where these stories have come from because I want to win things for Manchester City, and it would be fantastic if we could qualify for next season's Champions League.
"I like the football here in England and I know I can add more goals for the team. I want to score more for my team-mates, because we have all worked together so well since the summer.
"I have been learning English since I arrived here and see myself staying here for a long time."
The £8.8million summer signing from Reggina has scored five goals in nine starts and nine appearances from the substitute's bench for Sven-Goran Eriksson's side so far this season.
