Under the long-serving manager Martyn Rogers, Tiverton achieved almost constant success in the Western League and Dr Martens League in the last ten years, before losing the 2003/04 play-off final for the Conference South to Dorchester.
During the second world war all play was suspended at tivertons ground and the Elms was requisitioned as a storage dump.
