Switzerland will be missing Valon Behrami and Philippe Senderos for their crucial Group H clash against Honduras on Friday.

Midfielder Behrami is suspended following his dismissal in the 1-0 defeat to Chile and defender Senderos is sidelined with the ankle injury he sustained in Switzerland's opening group game against Spain.

Honduras coach Reinaldo Rueda has no new injury or suspension worries though he could recall all-time leading scorer Carlos Pavon for their must-win game.

The central American side have lost both their opening games in South Africa but can still theoretically qualify from Group H.

To do that they must beat Switzerland in Bloemfontein, hope Chile beat Spain and make up four goals on Vicente del Bosque's side.

Rueda expects his team to restore some pride in an unlikely attempt to reach the World Cup last 16 on Friday.

He said: "We must go out to win, and dignity must emerge. We must take into account that we still mathematically have a faint hope of qualifying."

Switzerland coach Ottmar Hitzfeld is leaving nothing to chance in an attempt to secure his team's place in the second round as he intends to monitor the the clash between leaders Chile and European champions Spain.

Hitzfeld said: "I will be well informed about what is happening in Pretoria. It could be that I will modify my tactics depending on the score. I feel that anything can happen that game."

Of Honduras, Hitzfeld added: "They have moments of confusion in defence and we have to take advantage of that."
