Switzerland manager Ottmar Hitzfeld is sweating over the fitness of Philippe Senderos after the defender was withdrawn during the first half of his side's unlikely 1-0 win over Spain.
The Fulham centre-half was brought off in the opening period with an ankle knock that Hitzfeld fears could rule him out of Switzerland's next game against Chile.
"Senderos has a sprained ankle and he may have a ruptured a ligament or worse," said Hitzfeld. "He has to go to hospital to have some tests. It will be very difficult to replace him and it will be a major blow for my team if we were to lose him."
