Wilson hits out at Robins backline
Published: 10 Mar 2010 - 10:29:00
The Dons were in command following first-half goals from Aaron Wilbraham and James Tunnicliffe before Daniel Ward netted a late consolation for the luckless Robins, who hit the woodwork three times. MK Dons have now moved to within five points of six-placed Swindon as the race hots up for a place in the League One play-offs. Wilson said: "We can't afford to give goals away so cheaply and expect to get anything out of the game. We just weren't ready for the game, it's as simple as that. "We talked numerous times before the game about how to start but the first time the ball came to us at the back we hesitated and it cost us a goal. Then we don't pick up for a corner and he gets an easy header. "We made a good fist of it second half but we were chasing the game. We thought this was a game that we could go and show what we are made of but unfortunately it hasn't worked out that way. To say I'm annoyed is an understatement - I'm very annoyed."
