Wilson hails Revell capture

Swindon Town have signed striker Alex Revell on loan from Southend United.

The 26-year-old has joined Town initially until the January transfer window, with an option in place to extend the deal.

Robins boss Danny Wilson told the club's official website: "I am delighted to have him with us because he will add strength to the forward line.

"He is one of a number of players that we had our eye on and as soon as he became available we said yes straight away.

"We feel that Alex is just what we want. He can bring other players into the game and will take a lot of the load away from the other strikers.

"As soon as we spoke to him he packed his bags and was keen to join us."
