Tozer could rejoin Robins

Newcastle United teenager Ben Tozer is being linked with a return to Swindon Town.

The 19-year-old defender played seven games during a loan spell with the Robins in the first half of the 2007-08 season but could now return to the County Ground on a permanent basis.

Chairman Andrew Fitton has tried to play down the rumours though, saying: "We're aware that Ben is available on loan either now or in the future, but we aren't short of centre-backs.

"To be honest, I don't think I've seen Ben play and it isn't an area we're urgently looking to strengthen, but what's increasingly happening in this league is there is a growing use of loans."
