Midfielder Michael Timlin is delighted to have secured a permanent move to Swindon Town, having impressed while on loan at the County Ground.

The 23-year-old spent most of the 2006-07 campaign with the Robins and returned in March, having grown frustrated with a lack of first-team opportunities at Fulham.

Timlin told the Evening Advertiser: "It has all been sorted out and I have signed for two years.

"The gaffer wanted me to get it sorted before we all broke up, so we all knew the situation before the summer break.

"It is good for me because I can concentrate on my summer and make sure I am ready to go for the big kick-off.

"For me it is just going to be good to be playing football again. What has happened at Fulham is in the past and I would rather forget it."

Timlin has scored twice in 35 appearances in total for Town to date.
